Thank you, Danah for this sobering perspective. It makes me wonder as we enthusiastically take up the charge to teach code or rather the capacity to code in all levels of education, at what stage do we take up the points you make here? When do we insure that students understand the underpinnings of our data oriented existence? How do we make plain that data is not neutral and that our filters, personal, professional and otherwise all influence outcomes and our interpretations of outcomes?

Clearly we know too little about what we may be in for, especially in the long run.
